Pins is making bowling cool again – we’re keeping their kitchens ventilated!

Pins Social Club is opening in 2020, and is a jaw-dropping addition to the city’s social scene. Combining bowling, pool and shuffleboard with amazing food and one of the longest bars in the city, it has turned an old warehouse on Duke St into one of the best venues in the city.

Turning an abandoned warehouse being used as a car park into something as cool as Pins is a challenging design problem, and those challenges extended to the ventilation system.

Extracting air from the kitchens meant a complex vent system over 3 floors to the roof, without disrupting the planned roof garden.

We designed, manufactured, and installed a bespoke 6metre Kitchen Canopy with custom duct work onto the terrace. We had the duct work sprayed to match the building’s exterior finish to look aesthetically pleasing.
