Renowned for creating the finest American style pizza in Liverpool, with passion and flare, American Pizza Slice have recently opened their third branch in the culinary hothouse of Bold Street.

In keeping with the vast majority of our commissions, our region-wide reputation for quality, right-first-time installations led directly to a recommendation from Co:de Concrete’s Ben Atkinson and ensured Everkool were successfully appointed to undertake the works.

We are delighted to add American Pizza Slice to our extensive and growing list of Clients.

A departure from the first two Liverpool-outlets in Whitechapel and South Road, which both operate the takeaway format, Bold Street has a large seating area, a beer garden with cover and heaters, as well as an upstairs seating and bar area – all styled in the contemporary décor we’ve all come to love and expect from American Pizza Slice.

A detailed survey and inspection of the building identified the heating and cooling requirements to maintain a balanced, comfortable temperature for both customers and staff.

For this commission, we chose to work with major industry supplier Daikin, with whom have an enviable and long established relationship and are an approved D1 Installer. We specified a total of three walls mounted cassettes to meet the air conditioning needs throughout the building, which were installed by to our own high and exacting standards by the Everkool team during May 2017.

If you’ve not tried pizza from American Pizza Slice, we wholly recommend it. You won’t be disappointed!

When long-standing Clients, Paolo & Donato Cillo decided to expand their gastronomic empire, a call to Everkool’s Craig Greenwood was the natural choice to set the ball rolling.

A Tavola, which opened in February 2017, is a unique one-stop-shop offering over 500 varieties of Italian foods and wine, including the finest meats and cheeses sourced directly from Italy.

Already recognised for their award-winning restaurants Crust Pizzeria and Il Forno, the proud owners have combined the delicatessen, with a cafe / bar area and also opened the first Italian cookery school in Liverpool – delivering a range of masterclasses held in the open kitchen, teaching customers how to make a variety of Italian dishes.

Having worked together across their restaurant portfolio, and sharing a passion for service excellence, Everkool were commissioned to specify, supply and install the walk-in fridge to the rear of the delicatessen.

As well as ensuring its size and refrigeration outputs would maintain the optimum temperature requirements for the foods, the current and future needs and the size of available space were key considerations.

The multi-deck display chillers, which take pride of place within the main delicatessen thoroughfare, were also specified, supplied and installed, with the accompanying pipe and drain works.

Everkool will, as it does for the vast majority of its Client base, undertake planned annual servicing of the equipment and meet any responsive maintenance needs.

Everkool’s reputation for providing outstanding service stretches far beyond Merseyside, yet it has carved out a virtual monopoly on satisfying the air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration requirements of Liverpool’s bars, clubs and restaurants.

Owner of Circo, Jason McNeill, had previously engaged Everkool to specify, supply and fit the ideal systems for his restaurant Castle St. Townhouse.

Delighted with our advice, installation expertise and workmanship, he had no hesitation in calling us when Circo left its Albert Dock base of the previous nine years to relocate to the bustling development hub of Seel Street.

If you’ve never been to Circo, it’s an experience like no other with dinner shows which feature astounding aerial trapeze artists, amazing magic acts, freaky malevolent clowns and unbelievable escapologists. Seating is available in the mezzanine area.

Our works within the new premises covered the following areas:

Air conditioning

Specifying, sourcing and installing a Mitsubishi ducted system with four ceiling cassettes – each

custom sprayed with a blue finish to fit in with the surrounding aesthetics.

Cellar cooling system

Specifying, sourcing and installing the cellar cooling systems, to ensure the bottled & draught beers, bottled soft drinks and mixers are served at the optimum temperatures.

Extract works

Specifying, sourcing and installing the kitchen extract canopy, the fire-rated extract work up the riser, together with extraction within all of the toilet facilities within the venue.

Everkool has been retained to undertake planned annual servicing of the equipment and meet any responsive maintenance needs.

“It’s always a pleasure working with Everkool. This is the second project they have worked on for me in the last 12 months and always deliver the install on schedule”

Jason McNeill, Owner, Circo

The renovation of Silkhouse Court, in Liverpool’s business district, is now firmly underway – with completion scheduled for Q1 2018.

The development project, with an estimated investment of £25 million, is a joint venture between respected developers Fortis Developments and Signature Living – with Signature Living’s teams of retained contractors overseeing the renovation works.

Both parties, award-winning developers in their own right, boast a wealth of expertise and a proven track record of transforming unloved and defunct buildings to their former glory.

A total of 193 residential units, comprising studios, one and two-bedroom apartments, will be available across the 15-floor building, with an on-site gym and 24/7 concierge service.

A long-established partner of Signature Living, having worked on all of their projects requiring over specialist range of air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration services over the past six years, Everkool were their first and only consideration for Silkhouse Court.

During February 2017 we sourced and installed Mechanical Extraction Ventilation (MEV), to the precise and agreed specifications of the architects, within the kitchen and toilet areas in each of the 193 designated residences within the building.

The planned 48-week renovation remains on track for completion early in 2018 and updates on the progress can be found here: http://fortisdevelopments.com/construction

A huge fan of our attentiveness and quality of works, proprietor Helen Demetrios had no hesitation in choosing Everkool when considering recent improvements to Brook Hall Inn, Childer Thornton, Wirral.

Originally built in 1860 by a local businessman, and standing within three acres of grounds, the Inn boasts 25 individually-designed bedrooms and is recognised locally as a destination venue for weddings, functions and conferences.

Having called upon Everkool’s air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration services for a number of years at another of her highly renowned culinary venues, Sheldrakes (Lower Heswall), Helen has the confidence that we can always meet her high and exacting standards.

On this occasion, we were required to specify, source and install two cellar cooling systems to cover both the main bar and the function suite areas – routine tasks for our team of experienced, highly capable engineers.

In addition, we provided ventilation for the hot water system within the Boiler Room.

The works were undertaken over a period of four days during April 2017.

“We have worked with Craig and the Everkool for a number of years and have always been thoroughly impressed with their knowledge, advice and the quality of the workmanship. We’ve recommended them to numerous other local businesses across Merseyside and will continue to do so. Quality companies need to be recognised and celebrated.”

– Helen Demetrios, Owner, Brook Hall Inn

Everkool has a proven track record of working alongside a number of Liverpool’s highest profile property developers in recent years; playing our part in the renovation of some of the City’s most iconic buildings.

We are proud to be able to add Ei8ht Water Street to this portfolio of properties.

A redevelopment conceived by Prospect Capital, and its lead partner Craig Blackwell, the building’s overhaul includes its façade, the creation of 96 individual residential units comprising studios, one and two-bedroom apartments with a vision for a further two additional storeys. Modern roof gardens to the second and fifth floors will provide stunning city-wide views.

Wholly aware of our local reputation as HVAC specialists, main M&E contractor STL Heating approached us to oversee the air conditioning needs for Phase 1 of the development – namely specifying, sourcing and undertaking the installation across the Ground, First & Second floors, all for commercial use with tenants including Aviva and Ascot Property Management.

The first three floors, approximately 20% of the total floor space, is to be for commercial use only, with the remainder designated for residential use.

As part of the clearance of the building and separation of the residential from the commercial space, we worked closely with appointed specialist Mees Demolition to decommission and remove the existing equipment, using cranes where required.

Once again our natural choice of industry partner for the project was Daikin, with whom we are an approved D1 Installer. Following a site survey, discussions with the architects and Daikin themselves we opted to specify the Daikin VRV (Variable Refrigerant Volume) HVAC System.

The Daikin VRV system is a multi-zone air conditioner ideally suited to commercial buildings because of its variable refrigerant flow control, which provides individual zonal control to each room and floor. A total of three systems, one per floor, were installed by our highly skilled, Daikin-trained team of air conditioning engineers during October and November 2016.
