Following a tender process, Everkool was appointed in August 2014 to supply and install a new air conditioning system to the Beatles Story, consisting of 17 A/C units, into a Grade II listed building in the Albert Dock.
Method statements and risk assessments were supplied and site visits, prior to the installation, identified any additional considerations to be integrated into the project plan and schedule. As an example, traffic control measures were put in place to ensure the safety of the general public whilst unloading the VRF condensers.
The project required additional building, electrical and ventilation works to be undertaken. Everkool used its trusted sub-contractor partners to complete the works, with Everkool maintaining main contractor status.
A timeframe of 14 days was stipulated for the works to be completed. We delivered the installation in full, within 11 days, to the agreed budget and the immense satisfaction of the Client.
Servicing and maintenance
Everkool is now contracted to service and maintain the air conditioning units at The Beatles Story on an annual contract. We also have a service and maintenance agreement with Merseytravel which covers the refrigeration equipment at the Fab Four Cafes, Pier Head and in the Albert Dock.
We are continuing to provide on-going work to Merseytravel, as a direct result of satisfaction with our delivered works, and look forward to continuing the strong relationship for years to come.
